Regular physical activity is essential for maintaining good health. Regular physical activity reduces your risk of many lifestyle diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and many different forms of cancer. It also helps to achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

There are many physical, mental, social and environmental benefits of physical activity. The benefits include a reduced risk of breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men; a reduction in stress, anxiety and depression. It also helps us build safer communities and improve family and community ties to the City of Cockburn, As an added bonus it can also help to reduce greenhouse emissions through active transport.
